Introduction
Photography came up in my life by chance. Although I was studying Journalism
at Londrina University, State of Paraná, Brazil, my real aim was to graduate
in Architecture. In my first Laboratory class which was part of the discipline
Photography, when I saw an image coming up "from nowhere" on
the paper, I experienced a magic moment which eliminated my doubts about
completing the course. Then I decided to become a photographer.
Since then, I'm still enchanted by the magic of light, which is the main
tool of expression for any photographer. Every scene revealed to our eyes
involves a certain light which can be a gift or a challenge that can be
appreciated or overcome by means of technical knowledge and technological
devices.
As for the countless resources now available to obtain fantastic photographic
results, I still believe that, for the exercise of this profession, they
never excel the importance of a sensitive gaze to everything that is human. |
